ในอนาคตลูกชายฉัน (จอห์น คอนเนอร์) จะนำทัพสงครามสู้กับสกายเน็ท ระบบคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ถูกตั้งโปรแกรมให้ทำลายล้างโลก สกายเน็ทได้ส่งจักรกลย้อนเวลามาเพื่อมาฆ่าจอห์น แต่มีเพียงหนึ่งเดียวที่มาเพื่อปกป้องเค้า วันนี้เราจะสู้เพื่อยับยั้งไม่ให้สกายเน็ทถูกสร้าง เพื่อเปลี่ยนอนาคตของเรา เปลี่ยนโชคชะตาของเรา สงครามกอบกู้มวลมนุษย์ได้เริ่มขึ้นแล้ว
เรื่องนี้ก่อนจะดูเห็นมีเพื่อน ๆ หลายคนบอกว่าธรรมดา มีเวลาก็ดู ไม่ดูก็ไม่ถึงกับเสียดาย สุดท้ายผมก็เอามาดูจนได้ พอดูแล้วถึงได้รู้ว่าถ้าไม่ดูสิพลาด ถึงคนอื่นจะว่าธรรมดา แต่ผมว่าสนุกนะ หรือเป็นเพราะผมชอบเรื่องคนเหล็กเป็นทุนเดิมอยู่แล้ว ตัวเรื่องก็ทำออกมาต่อเนื่องดี ตื่นเต้นใช้ได้ ได้เห็นประวัติของซาร่าห์ คอนเนอร์ เยอะขึ้น ได้เข้าใจว่าทำไมซาร่าห์ คอนเนอร์ ถึงได้เกลียดพวกจักรกลมากนัก ว่าง่าย ๆ คือเกลียดมาตั้งแต่ในวัยเด็กแล้วก็ว่าได้ คือผมได้ดู Scene ที่ตัดไปของตอน The Demon Hand ถึงได้เข้าใจ ตอนที่ซาร่าห์อยู่ใน โรงพยาบาลบ้านั่นเอง เค้าได้บอกว่าในสมัยเด็กพ่อเค้าอยู่โรงงานยัดฟูก ทางโรงงานได้เอาจักรกลมาทำงานแทน ทำให้พ่อของเค้าต้องตกงาน ส่งผลให้พ่อแม่หย่าร้างกันอีก เค้าถึงได้เกลี่ยดเข้าไส้จริง ๆ
ทางด้านผู้กำกับก็บอกว่า บทซาร่าห์ คอนเนอร์นั้น คนเข้ามาคัดตัวเยอะมาก แต่เค้าเลือก Lena Headey เพราะว่าเธอไม่เคยดูคนเหล็กเลย (โอ้ว ไม่น่าเชื่อ) เพราะทางผู้กำกับต้องการให้ลบภาพซาร่าห์ คอนเนอร์ในหนังใหญ่ซะ แล้วมาเริ่มกันใหม่
